...I am a Northern California-based photographer, who specializes in the beauty of life. I grew up outside of Chicago, IL but have spent the better part of my life in Northern California. Life has always been an intriguing experience of highs and lows for me. I often say that each decade of my life evolves into a new level of life.
In 2015 I found myself in a dark place. Mentally struggling with the pressures of anxiety and depression, I decided to hit the trails and picked up a camera for the first time. It was behind the eye of my camera, in that tough time, that I felt peace again. I felt connected to the land and could see things through my camera I'd not seen this way for a very long time.
Today, I am reconnected and healthy and doing my best to connect others to their authentic selves. Through photography, I like to capture the beauty of the world around me. Landscape is my first love, but I am a photographer who "simply shoots nouns". I am currently using all my creativity to first love myself and then share this radical love with others through things like gatherings, lectures, nature outings and 1 on 1's. You see there is always beauty in front of us, we just have to choose to see it.
